Saudi's new female practitioners can open offices

Saudi Arabia gave its first licence to a woman yesterday when Bayan Alzahran became the first female to be able to practice.

In total four female lawyers were informed last week that they should prepare to go the Ministry of Justice in order to collect the licences. Over 200 lawyers have been granted licences this year.

Biggest supporter

Bayan Alzahran told Alarabiya.net: 'As we all know our father and biggest supporter King Abdullah is the one who proved us right and lightened our way to the future to serve our beloved country.' She is also able to open an office, take on cases and deal with them in front of all courts and departments as well as giving legal advice.
