Gordons employment partners Simon Robinson and Phil Crowe are joining Shoosmiths to head up the firm’s first office in the northern city of Leeds. The firm has not yet confirmed the opening date for the new hub, but has slated the launch for the second half of this year.
'A Northern hub'
Shoosmiths chief executive Claire Rowe commented: ‘We plan to create a Northern hub of legal expertise for Shoosmiths’ clients with our Leeds and Manchester offices working closely together and anticipate recruiting specialists in key fields including corporate, real estate and commercial disciplines to help us fulfil that goal.' Launched in 2008, the firm’s Manchester office has grown to encompass more than 150 staff.
