Entrepreneurial lawyers in smaller businesses are also growing their businesses faster than most other law firms.The average profile is a 48 year old lawyer coming from a BigLaw firm with a niche practice, according to a LexisNexis report. The survey – ‘Brave New World’ – found that such lawyers focused on technology, networking and the web. The survey of 170 lawyers either practicing in small firms or as sole practitioners also found that 30 per cent were looking at mergers long-term. Source: Legal Futures
