French financial services group Societe Generale (SocGen) has appointed its global panel. The institution nominated 12 law firms across 66 countries to work alongside local panels in a range of areas. It named its preferred firms as Ashurst, Dentons, DLA Piper, Herbert Smith Freehills, Norton Rose Fulbright, Simmons & Simmons and Watson Farley & Williams. Baker McKenzie, Gide Loyrette Nouel, Orrick Herrington & Sutcliffe and Shearman & Sterling make up the selected firms. Those handling litigation and regulatory work are Allen & Overy, Debevoise & Plimpton, Hogan Lovells and Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom. It nominated Fidal and PwC as tax counsel.
