Stress rising in law firms

Stress-counselling companies in France and the UK are seeing a rise in calls for help in their teams which deal with law firms, bankers, IT specialists and civil servants.

Capita says that inquiries from employees went up about 10 per cent  in 2013 and in the first month of this year. Atos says that its inquiries are also on the rise. Dr Nerina Ramlakhan, a therapist with the Capio Nightingale hospital in London, said that a workshop she held recently on wellbeing at a City of London law firm was booked up within five minutes of her asking for bookings. She said: 'People have been under such stress for the last few years. As soon as they relax and are no longer running on adrenalin they feel burnt out.' Source: Financial Times
