Mr Pester has been a partner with TLT since its inception in 2000 and first assumed the role of managing partner in 2002. His upcoming three-year term, set to commence in April 2017, will be his sixth at the helm and will bring him up to almost two decades as the firm’s managing partner. His re-election was sealed by a unanimous, all-partner vote.

Towards 2020

Under Mr Pester’s leadership, TLT has enjoyed impressive growth since its launch. Revenues have more than quadrupled on his watch to £71.6m in financial 2015/16, while the firm’s headcount has boomed to over 1,000 lawyers across offices in London, Manchester, Glasgow, Edinburgh and Belfast. Mr Pester commented: ‘Our ambition at the start was to create a strong UK firm with a clear idea of industries it would support and with the investment capacity and expertise to deliver standout client service. That vision is still at the heart of what our firm stands for today as we prepare to kick off our 2020 strategy.’
