Two more firms expand into Myanmar
Tilleke & Gibbons and the UK's IP specialist Rouse are the latest two law firms to open up in Myanmar.
Fabrice Mattei, head of Rouse in Thailand, is heading the new Yangon office which will specialise in trade marks and patents, as well as portfolio management and other commercial aspects. Tilleke's office in Yangon will also have a strong focus on IP. Mr Mattei said: 'Myanmar is a thriving, nascent economy, with a strategic position between India, China and Thailand. Working in the country brings many opportunities, as well as challenges, to IP owners.' Source: The Lawyer
