US law school applications down 8pc

Applications for US law schools have fallen for the third year running, and are 37% lower than they were in 2010.

This autumn’s entrants could make up the smallest class in 40 years. Some 38,000 are expected to start law school this autumn. Law professor Alfred Brophy of the law school at the University of North Carolina called the statistics ‘a real morale buster’. He added: ‘Law school just isn't the path into the middle class that it once was.’ Source: ABA
