Tax, corporate and property work has all been on the increase in the top 150 US law firms in 2014 Q1, according to the Thomson Reuter Peer Monitor.

While tax went up 6.7 per cent, corporate rose five per cent and property was up by 3.7 per cent. By contrast, falling areas were litigation (down one per cent), patent litigation (down 1.1 per cent) and bankruptcy (down 5.9 per cent). Headcount increased 1.1 per cent in these law firms.
