US set to impose big fines over bribery NRT

The United States is likely to impose some ‘blockbuster’ fines on companies accused of bribing foreign officials in 2014, according to a report from US law firm WilmerHale. According to partner Jay Holtmeier, there are a number of large settlements in the pipeline with some of these involving conduct in China. The report on the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) said there were a number of FCPA investigations involving China which were not yet publicly disclosed. Source: The  South China Morning Post
