The most common issue callers cited was workplace stress, at 30 per cent. This was followed by depression (20 per cent), disciplinary issues (12 per cent), financial problems (five per cent) and alcohol (four per cent). Other problems included ethical issues, bullying or harassment, gambling addiction, career development problems and relationship issues.
Increased ‘extreme’ stress
Last year, the Law Society’s PC Holder survey reported that 19 per cent of respondents suffered ‘severe’ or ‘extreme’ stress in 2014, an increase from 16 per cent in 2013. Source: The Law Society Gazette
