Atlanta firm sues ex-managing partner for US$30m

The 52-office, Atlanta-based firm Morris Hardwick Schneider has sued Nathan Hardwick IV for allegedly embezzling US$30m.

Mr Hardwick has recently stood down from managing the firm and a related company, LandCastle Title. Reports claim that he diverted the money to fund gambling, private jets and property investments. He is recently alleged to have wired $4m to casinos and used $3m to buy a property. The 80-lawyer firm claims, in its suit, that the alleged embezzlement has gone on for at least 18 months.
