The arrival of the four partners - three joining in New York and one in San Francisco - brings to 25 the total number of corporate partners who have transferred to the San Francisco-based 850-lawyer practice. Cooley says in its statement about the move: 'The four partners will transition to Cooley their full-spectrum, globally-oriented corporate practices.' 

Proven dealmaker

The other three partners are corporate and capital markets specialists Daniel Goldberg and William Haddad (in New York) and corporate and M&A partner Garth Osterman (in San Francisco). Cooley's chief executive officer Joe Conroy described Mr Pierre as 'a proven dealmaker'.
