Covington & Burling partner Tammy Albarran is to replace Uber's deputy generel Angela Padilla. Ms Albarran co-authored the report on Uber’s culture together with ex-Attorney General Eric Holder who is also a partner at Covington. Reporting to the company’s chief legal officer, Tony West, Ms Albarran is joining Uber as the company prepares to go public in 2019. The company is swamped with legal issues including a data breach earlier this year.  Ms Albarran specialises in internal investigations, anti-corruption matters, regulatory investigations and SEC and securities issues. The Holder report, which Ms Albarran worked on, was commissioned after complaints of sexism and sexual harassment at the company.  Ms Albarran joined Covington & Burling since 2007. Prior to that,  she spent seven years at Morrison & Foerster.
