US law firms ahead of UK rivals on London starting pay

There are at least 15 US law firms offering higher salaries to newly-qualified lawyers in London than the Magic Circle in the 2014/15 pay year.

Top of the market is Milbank, Tweed Hadley & McCloy which is paying about £101,000 to these lawyers. White & Case (£72,500) and Jones Day are among the other US firms which offer markedly less than Milbank but still compare well with the Magic Circle.
