Diana Martínez

Diana Martinez is of Counsel and head of the IP Enforcement department of Arochi & Lindner’s Mexico office. She has extensive expertise developing anti-counterfeiting and anti-piracy strategies to protect and enforce the intellectual property rights of leading companies in a variety of industries, including electronics, technology and software; entertainment and media; gaming; fashion and luxury goods along with fast-moving consumer goods. Her practice includes running anti-counterfeiting programs, developing Internet monitoring programs and conducting market surveys for major companies, as well as coordinating education and training programs for Customs authorities and implementing public awareness campaigns. Additionally, she has a long established practice in border measures and raids. Diana has successfully litigated administrative and criminal proceedings before the Mexican Institute of Industrial Property (IMPI), the Federal Courts, the Mexican Attorney General’s Office, and the Mexican Supreme Court of Justice. Diana holds a Law Degree as well as specialization studies in Criminal Law from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México. She is member of Mexican Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AMPPI), National Association of Corporate Counsels (ANADE), International AntiCounterfeiting Coalition (IACC), and International Trademark Association (INTA). She served as Chairwoman of AMPPI’s Contentious Matters Committee from 2009-2013 and is a frequent speaker at several international associations’ conferences.
