Gitte Holtsø

Gitte is a Partner in and Head of Plesner’s EU and Competition Law team. Gitte handles high-profile competition law cases and matters involving significant complexity and value. Gitte has extensive experience in European merger control and other transaction-related competition law issues. She has led some of the most significant merger control investigations involving Danish companies, for instance successfully assisting EY in a landmark “gun-jumping” case before the ECJ, Tryg with the acquisition of parts of RSA Insurance Group, the merger of Novozymes and Chr. Hansen, and advising the Danish State in several matters, including the sale of shares in DONG Energy (Ørsted), the IPO of DONG Energy and the acquisition of control of Copenhagen Airport. Gitte is also known for advising clients in investigations by the competition authorities in matters involving alleged anti-competitive behaviour within a wide range of industries. Public procurement law is another area of expertise.
