Jacob is a Partner in Plesner’s EU and Competition Law team. He has more than 20 years of experience advising on Danish and EU competition law, notably merger control. He advises on merger control at all stages of the M&A process and has represented clients in significant merger control investigations, including complex Phase 2 investigations before the Danish Competition and Consumer Authority (DCCA) and the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) in the UK; for instance advising the Danish State in relation to the restructuring of the airline SAS; advising Kingspan in its acquisition of TreeTops, in a Phase 2 clearance with complex remedies before the DCCA; and advising Demant in relation to the divestiture of its cochlear implants business to Cochlear before the European Commission and a Phase 2 investigation before the CMA involving complex remedies. Jacob was previously Assistant Head of the Merger Division at the DCCA.
