Peter E. Stassen

Peter is a Partner in Plesner’s EU and Competition Law team and specialises in all aspects of European competition law, with a particular focus on high-profile and complex M&A-related competition law issues. Peter has considerable experience in advising European, Danish, and multi-jurisdictional merger control matters, and in providing strategic and deal certainty analyses of prospective transactions. Peter has led a number of high-profile merger control filings within several different complex industries, including for instance biotech (e.g. the largest ever Danish merger of Novozymes and Chr. Hansen), infrastructure and transportation (e.g. advising the Danish State on its acquisition of control of Copenhagen Airport and in relation to the restructuring of the airline SAS), insurance (e.g. Tryg’s acquisition of parts of RSA Insurance Group), manufacturing (e.g. Faerch’s acquisition of PACCOR), and energy (e.g. Circle K’s acquisition of Shell’s Danish retail motor fuels business).
