Kevin West is a senior corporate and securities lawyer with over 25 years of experience advising clients on complex domestic and cross-border transactions. His practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, strategic financings, joint ventures, and corporate governance matters, with particular emphasis on high-stakes and transformational transactions. Kevin is regularly relied upon by founders, investors, growth companies, and boards to provide judgment-driven advice on governance, compliance, and complex corporate decision-making. Kevin has held senior roles at leading global law firms, including as a partner at Davies Ward Phillips & Vineberg LLP in Toronto and as an associate at Sullivan & Cromwell LLP in New York and Sydney. Earlier in his career, he clerked for Justice Ian Binnie at the Supreme Court of Canada. Kevin founded SkyLaw in 2010 to provide sophisticated, strategic legal advice to clients at all stages of their business.
