Liedekerke’s FDI Team is composed of screening experts with solid experience, including Anne Bonet, the first former ISC’s president. As the founding president of the ISC, Anne played a decisive role in the implementation and operation of the Belgian screening framework. Her experience has given her an in-depth understanding of the screening authorities’ expectations, the dynamics of Belgium’s interfederal institutional architecture, and its strategic sensitivities. Since the entry into force of the regime, Liedekerke submitted almost 100 FDI notifications in various sensitive sectors. The team was also involved in major Phase II investigations, which included the design and negotiation of complex remedies. The team’s unique composition and the significant volume of cases allow to offer unrivalled expertise on the topic, including well established contacts and a swift communication line with the ISC Secretariat. Multiple questions addressed in the ISC’s Guidelines are the codification of issues flagged by Liedekerke.
