BMG has promoted Keith Hauprich from deputy general counsel to general counsel/SVP. Based in New York, Mr Hauprich will report to US president, repertoire & marketing Zach Katz. He formerly served as general counsel for Cherry Lane Music Publishing Company before it was acquired by BMG in April 2010. He was previously an associate at a New York City law firm where clients include Britney Spears, Steven Tyler, Miley Cyrus, Avril Lavigne, and Fifth Harmony.
Paris marketing company Publicis Groupe has appointed Céline Fronval to the role of Groupe General Counsel. She reports directly to Anne-Gabrielle Heilbronner, member of the Directoire (Management Board) and Secretary General of Publicis Groupe. Ms Céline, previously deputy general counsel of Publicis Groupe, will succeed Joe LaSala, who is retiring from Publicis Groupe after two years. Mr LaSala was general counsel of Sapient from February 2011 to March 2015 and was promoted to group general counsel at Publicis Groupe in Paris after the acquisition of Sapient in April 2015. Ms Fronval was head of legal for France from September 2012 to September 2014, and promoted to deputy general counsel in October 2014. Prior to this, she worked in various law firms including Simpson Thacher & Bartlett in New York and in-house as chief legal officer at BetClic Everest Group.
US pest control company Rollins has promoted its general counsel Beth Chandler. She will oversee the company’s internal audit department and will also become a member of the executive steering committee. She joined the company in 2013. In 2016, Beth took over the risk Management group. 'Beth has 25 years of compliance, governance and transactional experience, and we look forward to her expanded role to support the business operations,' said Eddie Northen, vice president, chief financial officer and treasurer.
Emma Slatter, Deutsche Bank's former head of strategy, has been appointed as general counsel at Visa Europe. She will report to New York-based executive vice president and general counsel Kelly Mahon Tullier and European chief executive Nicolas Huss. She replaces Niamh Grogan.
Guardian Media's group commercial legal director Sarah Davis will be leaving the company. She trained at Stephens Innocent (now Howard Kennedy) before going in-house.
