Australian boutique firms close down

As difficulties continue within the Australian legal market, two boutique practices have decided to close down.

Langes+, a specialist in corporate, financial services and insurance, shuts up shop in its four offices at the end of this month. According to a statement, it says that its three partners have 'formed quite different views as to how we wish to continue with our careers and service the needs of our clients'. Altogether the firm has seven lawyers and 11 support staff.  Meanwhile, Perth-based Karp Steedman Ross-Adjie is closing after one of its founders, litigation specialist Alan Karp, has gone into retirement.
