Bryan Cave tax law specialist Stefan Skulesch has been sworn in as a notary in Frankfurt. Mr Skulesch is admitted to practice both as an attorney and tax advisor. His practice covers the entire range of national and international matters involving German tax law with clients ranging from family owned medium-sized companies and private equity funds to international groups. The scope of his practice will now also include advising as a notary and notarizing contracts.
M&A
The role of a notary in Germany is very important to a variety of transactions. Under German law, certain contracts must be notarized to be legally effective, such as the transfer of shares in German limited liability companies (GmbH), the transfer of real estate and certain group restructurings. 'Stefan’s new qualification as a notary is a wonderful asset for our office. Our rapidly growing M&A business will benefit from his extensive experience with complex contracts,' commented Dr. Tobias Fenck, managing partner of the Bryan Cave office in Frankfurt. 'In addition, having a notary’s office allows us to interact with companies which were not previously clients as well as with other law firms.'
