Legal entrepreneur Chrissie Lightfoot is the 'best-connected’ woman in legal networking, according to LinkedIn. The social media site has elected the author of 'Tomorrow's Naked Lawyer' as top of its list of most engaged women in the UK legal sector as well as its top 5 list of overall engaged women across all of the sectors and industries represented on LinkedIn in the UK.
International Women's Day
In research to coincide with International Women's Day on 8th March, the networking site said it was celebrating some of its best-connected women across a number of sectors. Other women who were highlighted as some of the best-connected networkers in the legal industry were: Reina D’costa, associate solicitor at The London Law Practice and Founder of BizLaw UK; Diana Lee, owner and managing director at Simply Solicitors; Jade Murray, partner at Addleshaw Goddard and Louise Bloomfield, partner at DAC Beachcroft.
Networking nerves
LinkedIn found in research that women often suffer from networking nerves more than their male counterparts: getting on for half (43 per cent) of women surveyed in a recent LinkedIn poll said they were uncomfortable networking with people they do not know, compared with just a third of men.
