Clayton Utz cuts staff in Sydney and Melbourne

Big Six Australia-based firm Clayton Utz has been making lay-offs of staff since July of up to as many as 40 people in its largest offices.

The heaviest losses were made in HR, finance, library services and knowledge management. Two finance managers have gone as well as the head of diversity and head of learning and organisational development. Kate Jordan, deputy chief executive partner for people and development, said that a number of roles across the business had been made redundant as part of a general review of the business structure and resourcing needs. She added: 'Some roles have been consolidated as part of our new management structure.’ Source: Lawyers Weekly
