CMS throws away landlines in London office move

CMS Cameron McKenna is moving next year to new City of London offices which will hold 10 per cent more staff in 30 per cent less space and with personal headsets rather than landline telephones.

CMS has discarded landlines in its new office move BrAt82

The design of the three-floor open plan office at 78 Cannon Street will reflect the firm’s strategy for relating to clients, according to managing partner Duncan Weston, as there will be special areas for all practice and team sectors. He said: ‘This is a really strong way to bring strength to our sector group strategy. It's all designed around our clients and our sector groups. This is a first for the legal industry.’

Seminar space

Instead of landlines, all personnel will have headsets and mobile phones which will be connected in to Microsoft’s Lync platform. The first floor will be mainly dedicated to clients and will include a technology hub and a 200-seat seminar space. Source: Legal Week
