Company law lecturer is first female head of Cambridge college in 700 year history

Now Dr Pippa Rogerson will be the 43rd person and, of course, the first woman to hold the ‘Master’ title in Gonville and Caius College’s 669-year history. She will officially assume her new role in 2018 when the inucumbant reitres. She is also the college’s director of studies for law too and she estimates that she has about 500 past law students from around the world.

Clifford Chance background

Before turning her sights to Cambridge, Dr Rogerson completed a training contract at Coward Chance – now Clifford Chance - in the 1980s.  Other former Clifford Chance employees to head to academia at Cambridge include Professor Richard Fentiman who is head of the faculty of law and company and securities law expert Professor Eilis Ferran.
