The staff are based in Liverpool. The redundancy process began when some 37 staff were consulted regarding possible layoffs in May. Andrew Leaitherland, the firm’s managing partner, said: ‘Following the introduction of LASPO [Legal Aid Sentencing and Punishment of Offenders Act] insurance law firms across the board are experiencing a decline in motor fraud litigation instructions, and when combined with efficiencies we’ve generated through centralisation and IT investments, this has meant that less admin support is required in our Liverpool fraud, intel and motor teams.’ Source: Legal Business
