Top 100 UK firm Fladgate has revealed that turnover for its 2025/26 financial year will pass through the £100m revenue barrier for the first time, rising 16% to exceed £102m
Turnover has doubled over the past five years from £51.7m in the 2020/21 financial year.
At the same time, the London-based firm said it was elevating four to partner in its latest promotions round, strengthening its real estate, IP and dispute resolution practices. It also announced the hire of senior tax partner Richard Harbot from DLA Piper.
Managing partner, Grant Gordon, said: “Breaking through the £100m revenue marker is a milestone that we are extremely proud of. This achievement demonstrates the impressive ambition and hard work exemplified across the firm.”
The 2026 partner promotions include real estate lawyer Sarah Fitzpatrick, who joined the firm in 2017 from CMS. Her practice focuses on advising private capital investors and corporate occupiers on a range of real estate transactions, including acquisitions, disposals, lettings, and landlord and tenant matters.
IP lawyer Ben Milloy specialises in trademarks, data and cyber-security, and commercial contracts, especially protecting and exploiting rights in brands, technology and creative works. He joined Fladgate as a trainee in 2013.
Also making the grade is Harry Stewart, who joined Fladgate’s dispute resolution team in 2019 from Dentons and represents companies and individuals in a wide range of high-value court and arbitration proceedings.
The round was capped off by the promotion of chief people officer Claire Cherrington to the firm’s partnership.
The firm’s latest partner promotions are an increase on 2025 when two partners – Cem Usten and Orit Rioumine Gold – made the cut, both in corporate.
Harbot, meanwhile, arrives from DLA Piper after three years, having previously been a partner at BCLP. His arrival mirrors tax hires elsewhere in London to support the capital’s burgeoning private capital sector. He is the 21st lateral partner hire to join Fladgate since April 2024.
Gordon said Harbot’s arrival demonstrated the firm’s lateral hiring strategy, as well as its appeal to market-leading talent in the legal industry, saying: “Richard’s experience in both corporate and property taxation aligns with our focus on building our private capital footprint, and his expertise will play a key role in supporting clients seeking to capitalise on emerging opportunities.”
Fladgate is expected to post more detailed financial results in May. Last year, profit-per-equity rose by 20% to exceed £1m for the 2024/25 financial year.
