Former PM joins Dentons from Heenan Blaikie

Dentons has taken on Jean Chretien amidst the demise of Heenan Blaikie.

Jean Chretien was Canada's prime minister between 1993 and 2003 and joins  Dentons after the collapse of Heenan Blaikie left him and 540 other lawyers looking for new positions.There is now speculation that many other Heenan lawyers might follow him to Dentons. Talks have fallen through for a large group of them to join DLA Piper. Mr Chretien will act as counsel to Dentons, the same role that he undertook with Heenan Blaikie. Source: The Globe and Mail
