The firm, which has 18 offices in the US as well as some bases outside, is following a couple of other US firms which have established teams in this fast-growing area. Charles Tobin, chair of the firm’s national media practice team, said: ‘From news reports on agriculture to tornadoes to environmental degradation, new [unmanned aerial vehicles] technologies can safely provide the public with valuable information from entirely new perspectives….As it weighs safety concerns, the government must consider the First Amendment interest in the free flow of information through aerial news-gathering. The news media should be seated at the table as the government drafts new regulations.’ Source: Politico.com
