India sets up sex harassment panel in Supreme Court

Lawyers found guilty of sexual discrimination will be barred from entering court premises for up to a year under a new committee.

India's Supreme Court created a Gender Sensitisation and Internal Complaints Committee Nikhil Kanekal

The Chief Justice of India, P Sathasivam, has announced the creation of a ten-person Gender Sensitisation and Internal Complaints Committee in the Supreme Court which will decide complaints in the area. Complaints to the committee must be handled within 45 days. Lawyers found guilty could face criminal charges as well as being barred from the premises. Source: The Hindu
