Long-term Gala Coral general counsel and company secretary Harry Willits has left the company, after deciding not be part of the enlarged operators executive management team. However, Annabel Tagoe-Bannerman, legal lead and general counsel for Ladbrokes legacy operations, will remain with the company for a ‘short period’ helping Beardsell with the group’s transition.
Legal restructure
The legal restructure sees Lindsay Beardsell take over combined group legal strategy and planning. Miss Beardsell joined the company from UK high street fashion retailer SuperGroup Plc, where she served as Legal Counsel from 2013 to 2016. She joins the company at a time its group synergy strategy and is seeking to gain £60-70 million in combined short-term savings.
