Law firms face questions over hacking

Following demands by the UK Parliament, police are now looking into claims that law firms and blue chip companies may have been involved in phone hacking and illegal privacy breaches by creating a list of those with possible connections.

The Serious Organised Crime Agency (SOCA) has been given 14 days to hand over the names of companies linked to private investigators, the Telegraph reports. SOCA said, however, that it had submitted a similar list six years ago of companies and firms that allegedly had breached privacy illegally.
The Sun stated that the report was in the hands of Lord Justice Leveson but it has yet to be discussed in the judge’s final report.
