Linklaters top earner receives £2.4m

Details of the Linklaters accounts, filed with Companies House, show that profits rose 7% in 2013/14 and that its top earner made £100,000 more than last year with an income of £2.4 this year.

While other leading firms are emphasising their work in M&A, Linklaters has a rather different explanation of its income this year. It said that its turnover rose becuase of the fact that 'significant demand for our services has come from banks and financial services clients with contentious and non-contentious regulatory enforcement work, litigation and arbitration being particularly active'.

Indian service over

The accounts also reveal that the firm finished using its Indian support service. There were 2,325 lawyers in the firm at the end of the financial year. Source: Legal Business
