Combined reveunues at the new firm - called Locke Lord Edwards - are estimated at US$675m. The firms say little on a combined website whose construction 'is underway'. But they say that the combination will help them 'to better meet our clients' needs with an enhanced domestic and global footprint, increased capabilities and exceptionally strong team of experienced lawyers'.

When the merger was agreed last month, Jerry Clements, the chair of the new firm, said: 'This combination will enhance our position in the top tier of U.S. law firms and significantly strengthen our position and product offerings in the middle market.'
