Microsoft seeks information on Quinn Emanuel from IRS
Microsoft has filed a freedom of information action with the aim of discovering more about the relationship between the US Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and an external adviser, Quinn Emanuel.
Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan has entered into a US$2.1m contract with the IRS under which it provides legal advice on some tax audits, according to the computer giant. Microsoft is one company whose transactions (those between some of its international subsidiaries between 2004 and 2009) have been examined by the law firm under this contract. Source: ABA
