Managed services business Opensity Solutions has now officially launched, having been created through the combination of K2 Services and its acquisitions of Epiq GBTS and Forrest Solutions in November last year.
The newly created business provides end-to-end tech-enabled managed services to legal and other professional services firms globally. The combination brings together more than 4,500 professionals and 500 clients with employees based in the US, Canada, India and the Philippines.
The creation of the new entity was backed by private equity firm Renovus Capital Partners, which financed K2’s acquisitions of Epiq GBTS and Forrest Solutions last year. Epiq GBTS was the global business transformation solutions unit of legaltech giant Epiq, while Forrest Solutions was an outsourcing and staffing company. K2 Services specialised in managed IT services for the legal industry.
Michelle Deichmeister has been appointed by K2 Services as the CEO of the newly formed organisation, having previously been president of Epiq GBTS. She brings more than 35 years of experience to the role.
She said: “By fusing deep strategic expertise, key talent and technology-enabled managed services, we’re reshaping the future of enterprise performance for our clients.”
Christopher Petrini-Poli, executive chairman of K2 Services said the acquisitions were a “major leap” forward.
He added: “Client demand is driving this momentum. We’re redesigning, implementing and operating these support functions on our workflow automation platforms, freeing our clients to focus on increasing revenue.”
Opensity clients will have access to a wide range of next generation capabilities including administrative and shared services, incorporating document data analysis and technology-enabled reporting comprising of information analytics, which it says will allow for a consistent service and timely response times.
The firm says its extensive front, middle and back-office platform integrates document processing, IT and technology solutions, marketing support and billing.
