Talks between UK law firm Clyde & Co and US firm Sedgwick over a potential merger have reportedly been impacted by defections from the US firm to UK law firm Kennedys. Legal Week has reported that the exit of a number of partners to join Kennedy's US operation left a qestion mark over the talks with Sedgwick. The UK firm has taken over Sedgwick's Bermuda office whilst adding partners to its Chicago practice. According to ALM Intelligence, Sedgwick had seen over 45 partners defect.
