Rajah & Tann partner Wilma Cheng, head of Asia Resources, said: 'This service is in response to the numerous requests we have received over the years from clients who want us to second our staff to them during peak periods or when there is a big project happening.' The scheme is also tapping into a growing trend among Singaporeans to work part-time in order to spend more time with family or lessen stress.

Addressing the supply of freelance lawyers, the firm said in a statement: 'Lawyers wishing to be part of R&T Asia Resources need to be screened by a panel of consultants.
