Previously a partner at Olswang, Dr Splittgerber will be accompanied by two associates and a secretary. Dr Splittgerber has a very active practice specialising in digital media and entertainment, IT law, outsourcing, and data protection. He is also highly recognised in Internet and social media matters. Andreas has exposure to a wide range of players in the industry including cloud providers, IT outsourcing companies and providers of Internet platforms, as well as non-tech companies utilising IT or social media. At Reed Smith, Dr Splittgerber will work closely with the data privacy lawyers and the entertainment and media industry group.
Busy 2016 for entertainment

Expansion
Reed Smith has expanded its presence in Germany in recent years in response to growing client demand adding an office in Frankfurt in 2015 to its existing Munich office that celebrates its 12-year anniversary this year. As part of the expansion, the firm has brought in finance, corporate, regulatory, private equity, real estate, and more recently with the hire of key individuals from King & Wood Mallesons: competition and litigation expertise.
