The firm originally sued the actor over unpaid legal bills in 2013 after only receiving some $31,387 of a total bill of $134,221. Rodier & Rodier returned to the Florida court on 3 October to re-start their lawsuit and a hearing was set for December 20 on the matter. Following the actor’s death on 21 November, the firm filed documents to substitute Mr Cassidy’s estate as the defendant to continue with its suit. It has been reported that Mr Cassidy’s estate has only some $150,000 in assets with his son named as sole beneficiary.
