Rosewood Hotel Group has hired former Kempinski Hotels general counsel Hadrian Beltrametti Walker as vice president for legal, covering the EMEA and Caribbean regions.

He will manage a range of legal aspects, focusing strongly on hotel development. He is based in Amsterdam and began his new role in December. He will report to Los Angeles-based Agnes Park, the ultra-luxury hotel group’s GC and former Katten Muchin Rosenman private equity lawyer.

Beltrametti Walker spent 12 years at Kempinski in Switzerland in multiple legal roles, becoming GC in 2021. He also served as head of its sustainability committee, before leaving in June last year. Prior to joining Kempinski, Beltrametti Walker worked as a lawyer at Hilton Worldwide, based in the UK.

Beltrametti Walker said he was drawn to the role at Rosewood because of the company’s deep commitment to sustainability and his passion for advancing change in this area.

He is a member of the legal committee of the Energy & Environment Alliance (EEA), the global coalition of hospitality and lodging advocates focused on transitioning hospitality businesses to net zero carbon and ESG leadership in a timely, scientifically robust and commercially sustainable way.

In addition to his work with the EEA, Beltrametti Walker is an advisory board member of the Luxury Law Alliance, an honorary course director at Academia Cerebra, and a guest lecturer at Ecole Hoteliere de Lausanne and American University School of Law in Washington DC.

Rosewood Hotel Group is one of the world’s leading global lifestyle and hospitality management groups. It encompasses four brands: ultra-luxury Rosewood Hotels & Resorts; upper-upscale New World Hotels & Resorts; Asaya, an integrated wellbeing concept; and Carlyle & Co., a modern and progressive private members club. Its combined hotel portfolio comprises 48 hotels in 23 countries with more than 38 new properties currently under development.

Last September, French hotel group Louvre – which owns the Royal Tulip luxury hotel brand – promoted legal director and former Moet Hennessy lawyer Grégorie Bouffard to GC. Also in September, UK luxury hotel Stoke Park hired Dipika Jaisinghani Aggarwal as its first GC.
