Shoosmiths makes up six new partners

National law firm Shoosmiths has announced six new partners in the firm's May promotions.

The firm's new partners are David Perry and Catherine Hood (real estate), Aaron Harlow (restructuring & insolvency), Joe Stephenson (commercial) who are all based in Birmingham; Ruth Clare (real estate) based in Manchester and Lisa Keating (recoveries services), based in Northampton.

The firm also welcomes new senior associates in Birmingham: Alistair Hammerton (corporate), Bukola Aremu and Ben Smith (real estate), Michael Hardiman (commercial), in Basingstoke: Sue Prior (private client); in Edinburgh: Ben Zeilinski (commercial) and John Dunlop (real estate); in London: Angela Gregson (commercial); in Manchester: Ben Dredge (corporate), Suzanne Taylor (commercial); in Milton Keynes: Jason Hill (corporate); in Nottingham: Gareth Cook (corporate);  in Solent: Lisa Sigalet (corporate), Jonathan Smart (commercial) and Sian Hoare (commercial) and in Thames Valley: Kiran Dhesi (corporate); Angela Mildenhall (real estate).

Rewarding lawyers for contribution

Shoosmiths' chief executive, Claire Rowe, said: 'Promotions serve as an opportunity for us to recognise the experience and commitment our people bring to the firm. Promotions at a senior level are earned by building relationships with our clients and taking on additional responsibilities and both are integral to the firm's success.’ He added: 'We always look forward to this time of year, where we can reward our lawyers for the contributions they make.’

Immediate effect

All promotions thave taken effect from the start of May. Shoosmiths moved to an all-equity partnership on 1 May 2015.
