Law firm Stephenson Harwood is to open a new office in Yangon, Myanmar, this week, further expanding the firm's reach across Southeast Asia.It has been advising clients in the country for more than 20 years  including acting on some of the largest strategic market entries, commercial joint ventures and M&A, across a broad range of sectors.

'Continuing domestic legal and regulatory reform, combined with political upheaval in the last decade, has rendered Myanmar a market of significant interest to our clients – particularly given the lifting of most global economic and trade sanctions regimes which were previously in place.' The firm now has six offices and two associated offices in Asia.
