London-based law firm Berwin Leighton Paisner has recruited former Clifford Chance counsel Roman Khodykin as a partner.

He will aim to enhance BLP’s international arbitration practice and will be based in London, working closely with the firm’s Moscow team.

International law firm Squire Sanders has beefed up its UK presence with the lateral hire of two partners to its pensions practice. Anthea Whitton will join the Leeds office from Pinsent Masons while Helen Miles will join the Birmingham office from DLA Piper.

Philadelphia-based law firm Duane Morris has bagged Pierfrancesco Carbone to slot into the firm’s growing corporate practice group as a partner. Mr Carbone – who lectures at the International University of Monaco and at the School of Management at the Politecnico di Milano – joins from Chicago’s Kirkland & Ellis International, and will be based at Duane Morris’ London office.

Boston-headquartered Goodwin Procter has continued the growth of its London office with the recruitment of Linklaters UK investment team head Joe Condor. Mr Condor had served as co-global head of the magic circle firm’s real estate sector group.
Covington & Burling has strengthened its anti-corruption and trade control practices with the addition of David Lorello from Steptoe & Johnson as a partner in its London office. The Washington DC-based firm has concentrated significantly on its anti-corruption practice in Europe in the last few months, notably adding Casey Cooper to the London practice in February.

Dublin’s Mason Hayes & Curran has promoted Eoin Cassidy to its partnership in the construction law division. Mr Cassidy joined the practice 10 years ago, and advises banks, state bodies, developers, contractors, and construction professionals.
