US law school tutor numbers down by 11pc in four years

The law school that has lost the most full-time teachers is Western Michigan University Cooley Law School - which is down by 52 since 2010.

Overall, law schools have lost 1,329 full-time posts and gained 343, according to lawyer Matt Leichter in a study which has been published in the Law School Tuition Bubble. But Mr Leichter thinks that some law schools may have moved some staff from full- to part-time posts.

At Cooley there are now just half (49) of the posts (101) that there were in 2010. It is closing its Ann Abor compus. George Washington came after Cooley, having lost 34 posts. It is followed by Florida Coastal - down 33. Source: ABA
