Withers has had its own office in Singapore since 2012. The latest move follows on the heels of its launch in Australia last year, demonstrating its desire to generate revenues in equal measures in the three areas of Asia, the US and Europe.

The firm will become known as Withers KhattarWong from April this year and all 26 of the KhattarWong partners will become partners in Withers. Withers managing director Margaret Robertson said: 'Through working together as Withers KhattarWong, the alliance will offer corporations, institutions, successful individuals and families in South East Asia with a full range of wealth planning, litigation and arbitration and commercial legal capabilities that we feel is currently not adequately provided in the market.'
