Radha is an intellectual property, fashion and luxury law attorney with over a decade of legal experience. She obtained a bachelor’s degree in law from the University of Delhi and then pursued a Master’s degree at the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, USA where she studied intellectual property and entertainment law including legal issues in the television industry. She joined Remfry & Sagar in 2012 and has worked extensively with the Firm’s intellectual property practice. Radha is adept at conducting brand audits and due diligence for clients, providing opinions on feasibility of intellectual property protection in India, and assisting with statutory protection and enforcement. She has strong advisory skills in overall brand strategy and protection. Radha is also a qualified fashion lawyer having completed her second level masters in Fashion law from Luiss Guido Carli, Rome, Italy. She has been trained by counsel of renowned Italian and French fashion houses and is qualified to address legal issues faced by the fashion industry with regard to overall intellectual property protection, corporate transactions and governance, data privacy, advertisement concerns, alternate dispute resolution, issues in the supply chain, sustainability and ESG. As part of the Media and Publication team at the Firm, she regularly gives presentations and speaks at several conferences. She also writes extensively on Fashion Law in India, IP law and procedure, developing content on trending subjects. She is currently serving as co-chair of the Programming sub-committee of the International Trademark Association's (INTA) Brands & Innovation Committee (2024-2025) and also a member of the Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI), a not-for-profit that works to further the business of fashion in India with 400 members, representing the best in Indian fashion Industry. She is a legal researcher at ‘The Thinking Watermill Society’, a not-for-profit based in Rome, Italy, promoting exchange of ideas regarding changes in the economic, cultural and social landscape and opportunities surrounding the same and she is on the editorial board of the ‘The Fashion Law Journal’, which provides insights in the field of fashion law and acts as a professional network for the fashion community. She is also Editorial board member at IP Press, a blog dedicated to Intellectual Property. Radha is also an EU-GDPR Certified Data Protection Professional.
